Job summary

A logistics and sourcing company in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced logistics coordinator. The role involves coordinating internal and external communications, managing deliveries, and ensuring smooth customs processes. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and preferably Mandarin language proficiency as the role involves liaising with overseas suppliers. A problem-solving attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Job description
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal parties: sales, warehouse, etc and external parties: forwarders, suppliers, customers, certification bodies, etc to ensure smooth transition of deliveries or shipments
  • Manage and plan deliveries local or overseas on optimal delivery rate and routing.
  • Manage import procedure including dealing with forwarder, container/LCL shipment
  • Ensure shipping documents in order to ensure smooth shipments and customs declaration
  • To monitor deliveries for Retail Sales and to update sales team on delivery status
  • To plan and issue Purchase Order and follow up on outstanding deliveries
  • Manage stock ordering from inventory planning, sourcing, supplier negotiation, stock management
  • Responsible for stock management and inventory planning of stock items
  • Handling of stock defectives, shortages & oversupply cases from customers
  • To undertake other duties as may be assigned by the superiors
Job Requirement:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in related field (sourcing, procurement, negotiation and warehousing)
  • Language requirements : Preferrable Mandarin as this incumbent to liaison with suppliers from oversea.
