Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Legal Officer responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and providing administrative support to the legal team. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Law and at least two years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is highly advantageous. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, notably Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is a strong advantage.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality and dealing with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research for the legal team.
  • Review and develop internal policies and guidelines to mitigate legal risks.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop protective strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for business initiatives.
  • Maintain and update legal contract databases and compliance registers.
