Qualifications

Senior Lead Engineer, I&C

We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical requirements: Understands the specific specifications and requirements of the assigned project and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements.
• Engineering document preparation: Reviews/Approved engineering specifications, drawings, data sheets, etc. specific to the assigned project and validates them with the Lead Engineer before issuing or incorporating them in the RFQs.
• Management of team: Guides/supervises junior Engineers and appraises their performance. Ensure technical competencies are met and guide the development of I&C engineers to improve technical competency and soft skills.
• Bid evaluation: Guide the team to evaluate the bids received for I&C packages from various suppliers, ensures the selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements as stipulated in the project specifications. Check if the deviation can be accept and seek TE/TA's approval if necessary.
• Mechanical package support: Guide the team to evaluate I&C requirement for mechanical packages in Marine & Topside, contributes to technical bid evaluation process, ensures selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements as stipulated in the project specifications.
• Technical Solution: Develops/Reviews the solutions to technical/engineering related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and evaluating various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
• Meetings: Leads the supplier/subcontractor meetings regularly, reviews progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues, escalates where necessary to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly. Also joins Client's and Class's meetings to update the status and solve the issues.
• Site Support: Provides technical/engineering support and advice to Construction/Commissioning work at site, trouble shoots and follows up to rectify the gaps or problems. Where necessary, provides off-site support and advice.
• Client management: Communicate professionally with the client and provide responses to client comments to ensure client satisfaction that I&C work scope is managed appropriately.
• Performance Goal: Contribute to the achievement of Project / Engineering Performance Goals defined for the year / project. Introduces new technology/methods/new brands of instruments to improve Company’s productivity and competitive edge

Requirements

• Bachelor or Masters of Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of accumulative experience in I&C engineering in oil and gas sector. For Masters degree holder, minimum of 14 years relevant working experience.
