Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, highly experienced Inventory professional to take full ownership of inventory accuracy and warehouse stock integrity. This hands‑on role requires strong discipline, is not suitable for candidates without real warehouse inventory control experience, and is critical to maintaining accurate stock levels in a high‑volume, SKU‑rich environment.

Only candidates with solid, hands‑on inventory control experience in a high‑volume warehouse environment are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for inventory accuracy, ensuring system stock always tallies with physical stock.
  • Control and enforce strict inbound and outbound procedures (receiving, picking, loading, dispatch).
  • Ensure no stock movement occurs without proper documentation and system posting.
  • Prevent wrong picking, wrong delivery, and SKU substitution.
  • Implement and enforce proper labelling, location control, and warehouse discipline.
  • Monitor daily stock movement and investigate discrepancies, damages, and losses.
  • Conduct cycle counts, spot checks, and full stock takes.
  • Manage customer returns, transit damages, and internal handling issues.
  • Prepare inventory reports including variances, damages, and fast/slow movers.
  • Work closely with Sales Admin and Finance to ensure DOs, invoices, and stock records are aligned.
  • Improve warehouse processes to balance speed and accuracy in a high‑traffic environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in inventory control / warehouse operations.
  • Strong background in trading / distribution warehouse.
  • Experience handling high SKU count, heavy daily in‑out operations.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, firm, and disciplined.
  • Able to enforce rules, implement improvements of workflow, storage optimisation, & SOP.
  • Comfortable working on the warehouse floor when needed.
  • Able to prepare clear inventory reports and explain discrepancies confidently.
  • Basic system / SQL / ERP / inventory software experience required.
