Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a qualified candidate to prepare instrumentation specifications for various projects. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Key responsibilities include sizing instrumentation, coordinating design activities, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively with minimum guidance.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Advance Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Instrumentation / Mechanical / etc.) or equivalent.
• Having thorough working knowledge of codes and practices applicable to design.
• Familiar with software used for related analysis and design activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation specifications for instruments and systems.
• Size instrumentation and control equipment for approval.
• Coordinate drafting activities with the drafting coordinator.
• Assist and liaise with clients for assigned work activities.
• Analyse vendor quotations and write requisitions.
• Prepare instrument layouts and diagrams.
• Assure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Witness performance tests and inspect instrumentation.
