• For Senior Inspector of Works, minimum 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Background in C&S, Viaduct, M&E, or Material/QAQC is preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior / Inspector of Works for a project based in Penang with a minimum 10 years of experience. The Inspecting Officer of Works is responsible for providing onsite supervision by closely monitoring daily construction operations to safeguard against defects and deficiencies in contractors’ work. This role ensures that all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and standards, with the objective of completing projects on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, design and specifications.
• Monitor site activities, including temporary works, and address non-conformances.
• Provide standing supervision for designated critical activities.
• Verify that the materials and equipment used align with project standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing documentation.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 10 years of work experience in Construction, specialising in railway, depot projects or related fields.
• For Senior Inspector of Works, minimum 15 years of work experience in Construction, specialising in railway, depot projects or related fields.
• Background in C&S, Viaduct, M&E or Material/QAQC is preferred.
