Qualifications

About the Job:

The Senior Human Resource Partner/Country HR Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving strategic people initiatives while overseeing all HR Operations within the country. This position serves as a trusted advisor to key business stakeholders and leaders, provides strategic workforce guidance, and ensures compliance with local employment regulations.

The incumbent ensures full compliance with local employment regulations in Malaysia and leads key areas including talent management, organizational development, employee engagement, and HR governance to support both business transformation and operational excellence.

Key Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of relevant HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong and up-to-date understanding of labour laws, including the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Trade Unions Act, and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, LHDN).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR Teams HR teams and managing complex employee relations matters.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end HR function for the country, ensuring service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government authorities, auditors, and legal entities.
  • Oversee performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback processes, and talent reviews.
  • Support leaders in identifying high-potential, talent and driving succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen leadership capability and workforce effectiveness.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through data-driven engagement strategies.
  • Champion key initiatives related to employee wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and assimilation of new hires
  • Manage compensation & benefits, payroll accuracy, and the full employee lifecycle processes.
  • Manage complex employee relations (ER) cases, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures with local law and Group Policy.
  • Review and update HR policies, handbooks, and compliance-related documents.
  • Ensure accurate and timely workforce data management, HR reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Lead HR-related change management activities related to restructuring, transformation, and new initiatives.
