SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER (IMMEDIATE HIRING)

We currently own and operate restaurants brand Kokos and Kafe Ruuma. We now have 13 outlets in Klang Valley. As a young, vibrant and dynamic company that's rapidly growing, we are looking for highly motivated go-getters to join our team.

Design System and Brand Evolution

• Build and refine the Kafe Ruuma design system (colours, typography, visual language)
• Evolve the brand with each outlet opening, campaign, or content trend

Design Execution

• Design menus, POSM, social content, packaging, lightboxes, and campaign visuals
• Lead creative development for store openings, pop-ups, and collaborations

Social Media & Content

• Create engaging visuals for TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video formats
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and content creators for brand campaigns

Work With AI to Scale Creative

• Use AI tools to speed up design iterations, generate concepts, and prototype
• Ideate visuals using Midjourney, Runway ML, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram, Pika, CapCut AI, and others
• Collaborate with our AI-powered marketing team to create quick-turnaround assets

Team & Workflow Leadership

• Provide guidance and art direction to junior designers and freelancers
• Ensure output consistency across all formats and customer touchpoints

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Have 5 - 7 years’ experience in branding, content, or lifestyle/F&B design
• Are proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Premiere Pro or After Effects is a bonus
• Are AI-literate, always testing new creative tools (e.g. Midjourney, Runway ML, Firefly, CapCut AI)
• Understand design for both print and social platforms
• Keep tabs on design trends in F&B, fashion, and youth culture
• Love local food and want to design something uniquely Malaysian, not just “international cool”
• Think beyond aesthetics — and into brand, storytelling, and impact
• Experience working in a high-growth retail, cafe, or lifestyle startup
• Familiar with Webflow, Canva, Notion, or other workflow tools
• Light experience in animation, motion graphics, or video content creation
• Ability to brief or work alongside AI image/video tools to improve output quality
