MR CHURROS AFED SDN BHD – Puchong New Village

We are looking for a highly creative Senior Graphic Designer to bring our brand to life through character design, illustration, and packaging artwork. While this role covers standard graphic design tasks across digital and print, the main focus is on creating unique illustrations for limited edition packaging, merchandise, and new mascots / characters that represent our brand. The ideal candidate has strong illustration skills, a good eye for color and composition, and is comfortable working with a drawing tablet (device will be provided by the company). Hand-drawing and sketching skills are a big plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create original illustrations for packaging, product lines, merchandise, mascots, and other brand-related assets.

Collaborate in the concept development process for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and limited-edition releases.

Translate brand narratives into visually compelling character designs and illustrated elements.

Design and prepare print-ready artwork for labels, packaging, merchandise, and promotional materials.

Produce digital design assets for social media, online ads, email newsletters, and websites.

Assist in developing style guides and illustration libraries to ensure consistency across campaigns.

Work with marketing and content teams to create story-driven visuals that enhance engagement.

Provide illustrative support for motion graphics, animation storyboards, and environmental graphics (as applicable).

Ensure that all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines, timelines, and production specifications.

Source, adapt, or create custom patterns, textures, or elements for use in textile-related projects.

Participate in internal creative reviews, offering feedback and supporting the team in refining visual concepts.

Liaise with printers and production vendors to ensure accuracy in print and material specifications.

Maintain an organized workflow and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Stay updated on design trends, illustration techniques, and industry tools to continuously improve creative output.

Support in visual merchandising or in-store graphic development as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related creative discipline.

5–8 years of professional experience in graphic design and/or illustration experience in F&B, retail, or lifestyle industries is an advantage.

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); proficiency in Figma, Procreate, or other illustration tools is a plus.

Strong proficiency with drawing tablets (Wacom, Huion, etc.) and a robust portfolio showcasing illustration skills.

Excellent sense of composition, color, visual hierarchy, and brand storytelling.

Confident in both hand-drawn and digital sketching; traditional art skills are a strong plus.

Understanding of packaging and print production processes, including deadlines and CMYK color management.

Detail-oriented with strong organization, communication, and time management skills.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
