This role sits within the team that designs and develops capabilities specifically for the Banking and Financial Services vertical using CSGQuote & Order, our cutting-edge CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and order management platform. Built using the latest technology, our platform modernizes industries like telecommunications and banking.

About our technology

Our product frontend is built using the Angular framework and webcomponent technology. We are currently moving towards a micro-frontend architecture and would love to have you on board for the journey!

Our backend is very modern, adopting a microservice architecture for scalability and flexibility, using Kafka for event streaming and PostgreSQL for data storage. We use Kubernetes to orchestrate our containers, allowing us to offer cloud (AWS & Azure) and on-premise deployment options of our platform. Our infrastructure is maintained by a state-of-the-art GitOps/IaC pipeline. We heavily lean on open-source tools and libraries, as well as maintaining our own, to make development faster, simpler, and more consistent. Our code is managed using Git, undergoes peer review, and is tested, packaged and deployed through our CI/CD pipelines.

About the role

Joining our team as a Senior Frontend Engineer you will collaborate with our cross-functional team to design, build, and optimise features/technology for the CSG Quote & Order product. In your first 90 days, you’ll get comfortable with our system, build strong relationships with the team, and kick-off new feature development to deliver awesome outcomes for our customers.

What you will do

• Champion clean, efficient code by giving thoughtful PR feedback and holding the team to high standards.

• Work creatively to solve real-world problems for customers around the world.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate customer needs into impactful, user-friendly UI/UX.

• Take ownership across our systems, contribute ideas to the product design and architecture. Spot inefficiencies, resolve bottlenecks and keep everything running like clockwork.

• Mentor and inspire the team by sharing your expertise and helping others level up their skills.

• Be part of a multi-skill squad with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers and other Software Testers.

• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and trends to keep us at the forefront of innovation and productivity.

Role Requirements

• 5+ years software development experience in front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Knowledge of contemporary JavaScript frameworks (e.g.: Angular, React or Vue)

• Good Knowledge of building user-friendly UI/UX

• Knowledge of modern CSS frameworks (e.g.: Bootstrap, Material Design, Tailwind)

• The ability to communicate well, and work in a collaborative team environment
