Job Title: SeniorFinancial Analyst,Plant Controller - ANZ

Location: Global Business Center, Kuala Lumpur

Reports To: Finance Manager, Manufacturing

Job Summary

The Plant Controller will play a critical role in supporting the financial and operational performance of our manufacturing sites within the International Markets (IM). Working remotely from our Global Business Center, this individual will provide strategic financial leadership to multiple manufacturing plants located in ANZ, partnering closely with plant management and other stakeholders across various markets. The role requires occasional travel to support operational needs, especially during closing periods, and flexibility to adapt to dynamic demands.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Performance Management:

  • Oversee monthly closing processes, ad hoc reporting/analytics, monthly forecasts, and annual budgets to drive financial performance.
  • Utilize advanced reporting and forecasting tools to deliver insights and enhance existing processes.

Cost Accounting & Compliance:

  • Prepare cost accounting analyses and maintain strong internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with SOX and corporate policies.
  • Lead annual standard costing updates for the site and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Strategic Financial Partnerships:

  • Act as a financial business partner to the plant managers and leadership team, providing decision support that drives financial metric improvement and profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams across International Markets to identify savings opportunities and analyze return on investment.

Operational Support:

  • Support capital investment initiatives to ensure appropriate return on investments and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability and ownership throughout all levels of the organization, particularly in building a TPM Loss Reduction culture.

Process Improvement:

  • Manage accounting procedures related to operations, including G/L maintenance, accruals, expense charge-offs, journal entry preparation, payroll processing, and inventory control.
  • Lead network-wide improvements by developing standard work and processes that promote efficiency and leverage shared services where available.
  • Leverage digital tools and new reporting to provide new insights and create efficiencies in existing processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to manage complexity, including experience with multiple ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and strong change management skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and practices, with a proven track record of driving financial performance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with a history of process improvement and project management.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in a mainstream finance role including manufacturing or accounting.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Hyperion, and Blackline.
  • Knowledge of TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in building financial models to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in a second language is highly preferred, reflecting our global market presence.
