The candidate will assist in daily finance operations, including handling payments, invoices, and reconciliations. The role requires a proactive individual with at least 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting position, preferably within the F&B or retail sector. A degree in Accountancy or ongoing professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA is necessary, alongside proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in F&B or retail.
• Degree in Accountancy and/or pursuing recognised professional qualification such as CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager/Supervisor with timely delivery of all accounting tasks.
• Work closely with internal teams to gather, analyse, and interpret financial data.
• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments.
• Match system reports with actual balances and ensure accuracy of postings.
• Manage expense allocation, cost centres, and petty cash control.
• Handle AP/AR payments, statement reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
• Reconcile transactions to the general ledger.
• Maintain proper records and assist in preparing financial reports.
