The Senior Finance Executive will support the Accounts and Finance Department in executing various financial activities to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations and reporting. This role involves leading the team in daily operations, overseeing the monthly closing and management reporting, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. You will act as the key support to the Finance Manager, providing guidance to the team to facilitate the company’s financial integrity and decision‑making. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate month‑end closing, and prepare financial reports in accordance with MFRS.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, accounting schedules, and listings to ensure the accuracy of accounts and financial reports.
- Prepare the Monthly MD’s Highlights and various management reports to provide meaningful financial insights for business decision‑making.
- Conduct financial analyses, including profit margin and expense analysis; investigate variances and communicate key findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
- Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow projections, highlighting any potential liquidity issues to management.
- Manage year‑end audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities on finance‑related matters.
- Prepare profit forecasts and tax estimations for CP204 submission.
- Supervise and guide the accounts team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist the Finance Manager in implementing and strengthening internal controls and documentation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial governance.
- Support management with ad‑hoc financial analysis, reports, and other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA).
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably as an Audit Senior or in a similar accounting/audit role.
- Experience in team supervision, workflow planning, and reviewing junior staff’s work.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
