Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Cyberjaya is seeking a seasoned Senior Finance Assistant to support the ERP implementation and manage finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in finance roles, particularly within an international setting. Responsibilities include testing solutions, data management, and developing training materials. Candidates with experience in using ERP systems such as Workday will have an advantage. Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with secondary education or 6 years with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Working knowledge of IPSAS and/or IFRS is required.
  • Experience in a Finance Shared Services Centre is an advantage.

Job description
Senior Finance Assistant

The Senior Finance Assistant will support finance in undertaking testing and general support related tasks of the company's global ERP implementation (the Business Management System project BMS). The incumbent may also be requested to support client service and processing of finance transactions.

Job responsibilities
  • Support the validation and testing the delivered solution for their functional area / region
  • Execute data preparedness and data conversions actions
  • Update of SOPs and user manuals to reflect new business processes and systems
  • Assist in the development of training and communication materials
  • Execute change champion tasks
  • Provide input in the project as needed
  • Any other task as assigned by the supervisor.
Job requirements
  • Completion of secondary school education or its equivalent, complemented by training in accounting or book-keeping.
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or any other professional certificate (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc...) is a distinct advantage
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with Secondary Education or 6 years with Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and/or financial management or 5 years with advanced degree, preferably in an international setting.
  • Working knowledge of IPSAS and/or IFRS is required
  • Experience in the usage of computers and MS Office packages (MS Word, Excel etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience in using an ERP system such as Workday is an advantage
  • Recent experience in a Finance Shared Services Centre is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is an advantage.
