The ideal candidate will possess at least a Degree in Accounting, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is required. Job description

Vacancies: 1 for Finance Lead & 1 for Corporate Reporting

Work day: Monday to Friday

Finance Lead

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Review general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Analyse the performance of cost centres and business units.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Facilitate monthly performance reviews with relevant operational units.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, supported by sales projections and relevant data.

Monitor actual performance against budgets and conduct variance analysis.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Ensure accurate preparation and submission of taxes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax obligations.

Support the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure record accuracy.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and resolving audit findings.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.

Ensure accurate transaction recording in financial system.

Monitor cash flow and assist in managing working capital effectively.

Cost Management

Monitor and control operational costs.

Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving strategies to management.

Partner with other departments to understand financial needs and provide support.

Mentor and train junior finance staff to build team capability.

Reporting Line

Support the Finance Manager or Finance Controller with reporting and financial analysis.

Provide regular updates on financial performance and contribute to strategic decisions.

Corporate Reporting

Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial reports covering multiple branches and multiple business divisions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely submission.

Coordinate with branch finance teams to gather, review, and validate financial data. Ensure standardisation or reporting formats, accounting treatments, and month-end closing processes across all branches.

Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with internal reporting requirements, accounting standards, and corporate timelines.

Variance & Performance Analysis

Conduct detailed financial analysis, variance reviews, trend assessments, and performance commentary for management decision-making.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, SOPs, and statutory requirements across all branches and divisions.

Process Improvement & Automation

Identify gaps and opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, streamline month-end closing processes, and strengthen data accuracy through system improvements or automation.

Audit Support

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciling balances, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with operations, branch management, and divisional heads to resolve financial issues, clarify reporting requirements, and support business initiatives.

Requirements

Possess a minimum qualification of Degree in Accounting or its equivalent.

Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an added advantage.

At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.

Relevant work experience in Automotive industry / Retail & Distribution sector is an added advantage.

Able to communicate well in English, Malay and Mandarin (additional local Chinese dialects e.g. Hokkien/Cantonese would be an added advantage) to liaise with stakeholders.
