The Field Operator shall perform field - based operational tasks within the Storage Silos Area, Packaging Area, Storage Area & Dispatch Area, and provide assistance in other assigned areas.
The scope includes:
- 1. Field Equipment Operation Perform on - site operation of mechanical and process equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, vessels) in accordance with established operating procedures and safety standards.
- 2. Coordination with Panel Operations Communicate and coordinate closely with Panel Operators to execute field activities such as startups, shutdowns, line - ups, isolation, and process adjustments as instructed.
- 3. Routine Field Checks & Process Monitoring Conduct regular field inspections, parameter readings, and logbook updates to ensure all equipment operates within specified limits. Immediately report anomalies or unsafe conditions.
- 4. Support to Maintenance & Integrity Programs Assist in energy isolation, equipment handover, and basic troubleshooting activities during planned or corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readiness.
- 5. Safety & Emergency Response Comply with HSE regulations, use appropriate PPE, and participate in emergency drills or actual emergency response as the first line of defence in field - based incidents.
- 6. Basic Operation & Equipment Care Perform Equipment Basic Care ( EB C) tasks including housekeeping, minor adjustments, and early detection of equipment degradation to improve reliability.
- 7. Communication & Shift Handover Actively participate in daily shift handover discussions with the operation team to ensure smooth continuation of operations and proper communication of plants
Candidates must be willing to be based at Pengerang, Johor
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in field operations within a plant environment
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., valves, pumps, compressors)
- Able to perform readings, inspections, equipment start - up/shutdown, and basic troubleshooting
- Familiar with Permit - to- Work (PTW) systems, isolations, and line - up procedures
- Capable of working outdoor, rotating shift environments
