A modern neighborhood grocer is seeking a Senior Food & Beverage Team Member to ensure smooth operations in the store's Front of House. Responsibilities include greeting customers, preparing beverages, and ensuring quality service while adhering to food safety standards. Ideal candidates should have SPM, experience as a barista is preferred, and must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Food & Beverage Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations of our Front of House in our store.
Greet customers warmly, assist with menu selections, and take orders accurately. Provide recommendations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout their visit.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty drinks according to café recipes and standards. Ensure quality and consistency in every beverage served.
Input orders into the POS system accurately, collaborate with kitchen staff for food orders, and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers. Some examples of collaboration would include preparing fresh ingredients and assembling of sandwiches.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, process payments, and provide customers with receipts. Maintain the cash register and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Keeping FOH and shared kitchen area clean and organized, including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the coffee preparation area.
Promote café specials, new coffee blends, and additional menu items to customers. Upsell supplementary items such as pastries, desserts, or merchandise to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, as well as café policies and procedures. Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with other FOH and back-of-house staff to provide efficient service and maintain a positive work environment. Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any issues or concerns.
