A major aviation organization in Selangor is seeking a Supplier Management Specialist responsible for supporting supplier relationship management plans, particularly for Powerplant vendors.   • Identifying and securing long‑term beneficial partnership with key suppliers to achieve consistent delivery of quality products and services.
  • Balancing cost, parts quality, and operational needs to ensure safe, reliable aircraft performance within budget.
  • Managing supplier and contractual risks to ensure quality and timely delivery of parts as well as safety and regulatory standards for safe, efficient operations.
Key Challenges
  • Identifying and securing long‑term beneficial partnership with key suppliers to achieve consistent delivery of quality products and services.
  • Balancing cost, parts quality, and operational needs to ensure safe, reliable aircraft performance within budget.
  • Managing supplier and contractual risks to ensure quality and timely delivery of parts as well as safety and regulatory standards for safe, efficient operations.
Responsibilities – Key Accountability
  • Plan and execute supplier engagement activities, ensuring smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders. To work closely with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to resolve supplier‑related issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance data, scorecards, and contract compliance records through regular and periodic assessments and/or audit. To conduct regular and periodic reporting on supplier performance to ensure adherence towards expected performance standards.
  • Support procurement and contract teams in supplier negotiations, data analysis, and performance evaluations. To identify and propose key areas for cost and value optimization during the procurement processes.
  • Identify and manage risks related to supplier compliance, performance, and operational impact. To prepare, monitor and report supplier contingency / risk‑mitigations plans to reduce / avoid operational downtime.
  • Identify and plan continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal stakeholders to promote process efficiency and optimization based on industry best practices and advancement.
  • Any other related task as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Summary
  • Responsible for supporting the execution of supplier relationship management plans, particularly for Powerplant vendors. The role supports the Manager to ensure suppliers meet the expected performance standards, as well as compliance and maintenance operation requirements.
