A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Senior Executive in Research & Development to manage new product development for snacks and instant noodles. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science and have at least 4 years of experience in product development within the food industry. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication ability, and knowledge of food safety regulations. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure compliance and successful product launches.

Assist or lead all development and optimization initiatives for innovative and renovative projects.
Responsible for new product development for snacks, instant noodles & food services.
Proactively design and establish new processes, new products and process controls.
Support the sourcing of new ingredients from reliable suppliers, compare the quality and cost advantage with procurement colleague.
Set product specification and quality standard for the manufacture of new products.
Work with the operation team (production, engineering, quality assurance) on new process control and process improvement.
Responsible on the product compliance with country regulation, brand values and consumer expectation.
Assist or lead NPD processes from concept to commercialization including formulation development, shelf‑life study, label development, Halal, FSSC 22000 management, etc.
Strong stakeholder management where able to manage cross‑functional teams such as sales & marketing, manufacturing team, and external parties.
Support on shipping related issues i.e. technical aspects of the products.
Lead the trial run processes, troubleshooting and improvements in control settings.
Strong consumer insight, able to lead consumer acceptance surveys / studies.
Ensure product launching according to timeline and product brief.
Present innovation and technology NPD to customer to support business development.
Develop and train the technical know‑how on formulation and processes.
To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
Job Requirements -
Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree / Master in Food Science/Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of experience in food industry.
Experience in snack, fried, extruded products or instant noodles is highly preferred.
Proven track record in new product development, formulation optimization, and factory scale‑up.
Possess own transport, willing to work in Subang Jaya and travel to Malacca whenever needed.
Strong knowledge of sensory evaluation, shelf‑life testing, and analytical techniques.
Familiarity with food safety, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
Project management capability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
