Responsibilities
Plan for daily activity for sub‑contractor and blasting painting area. Inclusive of:
- Chassis/cabin and loose parts.
- Communicate with related parties (fabrication, assembly, contractors, suppliers) to ensure meet the planned output.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure parts meet target planned.
- Monitoring manpower, materials and equipment for the process.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of paint, abrasives, thinners, equipment and related consumables.
- Ensure proper surface preparation of metal components (removal of rust, old paint, oils, contaminants) according to specifications.
- Oversee the application of primer and topcoat paint systems using airless or conventional spray methods.
- Ensure coating thickness, adhesion, and finish meeting required specifications.
- Monitor environmental parameters (humidity, temperature, dew point) and ensure proper surface cleanliness and profile before coating.
- Train and mentor painters and blasters to uphold quality standard.
- Oversee the use of appropriate blasting materials and paint types based on usage.
Plan for daily activity for fabrication (loose parts) area. Inclusive of:
- Plan and monitor daily fabrication schedules and job orders.
- Coordinate with chassis fabrication.
- Allocate manpower, machines and materials effectively.
- Ensure timely completion of fabrication work.
Plan for daily activity for final painting area. Inclusive of:
- Coordinate daily work schedules, to meet delivery timelines.
- Oversee manpower allocation and workflow in blasting and painting booths or open areas (touch up).
- Train and mentor painters and blasters to uphold quality standard.
- Provide training and technical guidance to blasters and painters to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
Plan for daily activity for internal dept area. Inclusive of:
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and production teams to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company HSE policies.
- Maintain documentation related to coating activities (daily report, inspection records, audit, facilities maintenance).
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and calibration.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience from manufacturing/machinery/ automotive industry with fabrication related work environment.
