Job summary

A leading agricultural company in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced IT Support Professional to manage and monitor IT systems, ensuring high operational uptime. Responsibilities include collaborating with the IT manager, overseeing IT infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with disaster recovery strategies. Candidates should have at least 6 years of IT support experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365. A bachelor's degree in IT and Azure certifications are preferred.

  • Certified in Azure Fundamental/Azure Administrator is a plus.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel.

Job description

Familiar with Microsoft 365 administrative tasks and keep abreast with Microsoft latest technology and propose to management if it is benefits to the business in long terms.

Collaborate with IT Manager to ensure the effective functioning of the IT Technical department and assist Manager to obtain estimation for IT budget during annual IT planning.

Experience with IT operations ticketing systems to work with internal IT Teams, external vendors for technical problem and resolution to meet expected SLA.

Coordinate and manage IT technical projects, progress updates to manager and have initiative to improve current process with latest technologies.

Working closely with other IT team, like applications and cybersecurity, to ensure that infrastructure can support new technologies and business initiatives.

Manage, control and monitor the IT systems/IT Infrastructure/IT Network end to end for continuity of operation with high uptime to the business.

Support the implementation and maintain clear documentation, architecture diagram, process and incorporate best practices into technical integration of hardware, software and network.

Monitor infrastructure and system life cycle and propose replacement/upgrade before its’ end of life/support.

Observe and monitor security dashboard/notification/Security news to ensure all alerts are addressed.

Ensure IT disaster recovery strategy and ensure all systems assigned are ready for DR in according to agreed RTO and RPO.

Participate in Annual Audit or IT review (such as Internal & External Audit, IT periodical review) to ensure adherence to agreed IT SOP/Procedure.

Manage and keep accurate IT inventory such as Such as License, physical inventory, vendor’s maintenance contract, user ID, and etc.

Periodical IT inspection to ensure all IT system are running smoothly and problem free.

Requirements
  • Possess at least a Bachelor, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Certified in Azure Fundamental/Azure Administrator (Added advantage).
  • At least 6 years working experience in a backend IT support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skill to review and analyze data to identify and articulate key issues and proposed solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and interact with users at all levels.
  • A good team player and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Possess project management skills - added advantage.
  • Willing to travel
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 admin, IAM, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Intune, Hybrid Active Directory, EntraID, GPO.
  • Knowledge of cloud resources management on Azure portal, IAM, VM creation, VNET, backup, restore.
  • Experience in IAM and PAM SecureKi, Sentinel – Added advantage
  • Familiarity with Network Infra – Firewall, Switches, AP, TCP\IP, VPN, VOIP.
  • Servers/Virtual Machine – Window and Linux O/S, patch management.
  • End Point Management – Security, Zero Trust, Intune, Microsoft Defender/TrendMicro, XDR/EDR.
  • Inventory Management – Hardware, Software.
