Job summary

A construction and property development company in Malaysia is searching for a Senior Executive in IT Security & Cyber Risk. This position entails monitoring security alerts, coordinating incident responses, and performing cybersecurity assessments. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields, along with 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and familiarity with security tools such as SIEM and firewalls. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, or cyber risk management.
  • Proven hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, or EDR.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS standards, or regulatory cybersecurity requirements.

Collaborate with other IT team members and business teams to ensure secure design and implementation of systems.

Prepare security reports, dashboards, and documentation for audits and management reviews.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, or cyber risk management.

Proven hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, or EDR.

Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS standards, or regulatory cybersecurity requirements.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Relevant certifications are an added advantage (e.g., CEH, Security+, CISSP Associate, CISM).
