A leading retail chain in travel gear in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Inventory Control Executive to manage inventory tracking, ensure adequate stock levels, and report to upper management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory management and strong analytical skills. This role involves collaboration with warehouse staff and may require participation in stocktakes. The company offers a dynamic working environment and values integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Manages inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures, eg, record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
Document deliveries and shipments to update inventory. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
Schedule stocktake on monthly basis for online warehouse & all the retail outlet & counter at departmental store; Warehouse (offline) shall be scheduled half yearly basis. Ensuring employees to participate in the stocktake & relevant PIC is available to supervise the physical inventory and the follow up of variances.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Logistics/ Warehousing/ Stock Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration or any equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in retail industry.
High integrity, committed and able to work with minimum supervision.
Solid knowledge of data analysis & inventory management.
An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
Willing to work at Taman Midah, Cheras.
