Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Human Resource professional to manage HR practices, ensure compliance with Malaysian labour regulations, and maintain HR data systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, alongside 1–3 years of experience in HR, particularly in a manufacturing setting. Proficient knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of HR working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian labour laws including Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and company policies.
  • Maintain HR information system and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with production managers to support manpower planning.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Payroll data preparation, attendance monitoring, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure timely updates of employee records, claims, and statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, etc.).
Compliance and Policy Implementation
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain HR documentation, contracts, and personal files in accordance with audit requirements.
HR Data Management and Reporting
  • Maintain HR information system (HRIS) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Generate reports related to headcount, turnover, attendance, and other HR metrics.
  • Assisting in the design and maintenance of the organization\'s structure.
Workforce Planning Support
  • Collaborate with production managers to support manpower planning and shift scheduling needs.
  • Assist in coordinating contract staff or temporary workers during peak periods.
HR Budgeting
  • Budget Monitoring: Monitoring HR expenditures on a daily basis to ensure they align with the approved budget.
  • Budget Revisions: Recommending budget revisions or adjustments based on changing business needs or unexpected expenses.
  • Budget Planning: Assisting in the development of the HR budget for the upcoming fiscal year or planning period.
  • Compliance: Ensuring that HR budgeting practices comply with financial policies and guidelines.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • 1–3 years of HR working experience, preferably in a manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Knowledge of Malaysian labour laws (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, OSHA, Minimum Wage)
  • Familiar with HR best practices: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, disciplinary matters, employee relations
  • Experience with HRIS / Payroll systems (e.g. SQL HRMS, AutoCount, HR2000, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Exposure to attendance, overtime, shift workforce management
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and maintain high confidentiality
