Job description

To analyse, coordinate, maintain, and execute all financial data and activities associated with the annual budgeting, disbursement, monitoring, and utilisation of the Forums as mandated under the Communications and Multimedia Act and the Postal Services Act. The role is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reviewing financial reports and data; managing forum improvement initiatives; and providing support to the Forum Fund Management Department to ensure the effective allocation, utilisation, and impact assessment of grants disbursed to the Forums, in accordance with MCMC’s regulatory objectives, national policy directives, and principles of prudent financial stewardship.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute and coordinate the planned budget calendar and activities for annual budget preparation across all forums to ensure financial alignment with MCMC’s strategic direction;
  • Process the disbursement of the grant/fund to all forums based on the approved allocations;
  • Monitor expenditures and perform financial analyses to uphold fiscal discipline, transparency, and compliance with established guidelines;
  • Maintain and manage the financial database for all Forums, including providing recommendations on system required for effective data management;
  • Conduct financial data analysis to generate insights and recommendations for improvement, and standardisation on financial matters for all forum;
  • Stakeholders' engagement – serves as the liaison with the forums to ensure clear communication of funding terms, performance expectations, and reporting obligations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote accountability, transparency, and trust;
  • The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive and may be revised periodically to meet the evolving needs of MCMC. The incumbent is expected to perform additional duties as required and as directed by their supervisor.
Qualifications and Work Experience

Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or other relevant qualifications;

Professional certifications in Accounting /Finance, Data Analytics and Project Management will be an added advantage; and

Minimum five (5) years of relevant working experience in especially finance/accounting related role
