Job summary

A property development company in Johor is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the full set of accounts. The ideal candidate will handle general ledger, account payables, accounts receivable, and ensure efficient operations within the finance department. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience are required. Proficiency in financial software and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Handle full set of accounts including general ledger, journal, account payables, accounts receivable, profit & loss and balance sheet.

Process relevant entries in respect of payment, receipt, sales, purchase, accruals, journal entries.

Check summaries and classify petty cash claims, enter into system.

Prepare bank reconciliation.

Plan and manage accounts payable functions so as to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the payment process.

Assist in day to day office administration duties which include keeping filing up to date (ex. Bank statement, bank in slips and payment vouchers).

Perform other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

To maintain timely and accurate inter-company transactions and perform regular reconciliations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in finance, preferably in the property development or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in related field.
