This role focuses on driving accurate demand forecasting, inventory alignment, and vendor management to ensure supply continuity and optimal stock levels. Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and manage demand forecasts for all retail categories.
- Use analytics and market insights to improve forecast accuracy.
Inventory & Supply Alignment
- Collaborate with internal teams to align inventory with demand.
- Maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and non‑performing inventory.
- Oversee vendor onboarding and registration.
- Monitor vendor performance and collaborate on supply continuity and quality.
- Act as liaison between vendors and internal teams for demand‑related issues.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, and promotional impacts.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership for decision‑making.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Partner with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams.
- Lead demand planning meetings and communicate forecast changes effectively.
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting tools and vendor management processes.
- Implement best practices for demand planning and supplier collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management (retail experience preferred).
- Proficiency in forecasting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Familiarity with market trend analysis and promotional impact modeling.
- Understanding of retail category management and inventory optimization.
- Knowledge of vendor onboarding processes and supplier performance metrics.
- Ability to implement best practices in demand planning and supply alignment.
