Responsibilities
- Understand the offering and capabilities of the department to assist in business development activities.
- Lead, drive and grow both new and existing business to achieve department goals, especially sales targets.
- Build, maintain and retain client relationships to achieve department goals.
- Aggressively seek new business opportunities and establish optimized growth for existing businesses.
- Propose, develop and implement sales cycle plans and strategies to achieve sales, drive growth and profitability.
- Implement and practice sales management and sales forecasting processes.
- Provide timely, accurate and complete competitive solution proposals for all business opportunities while maintaining profitability targets.
- Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual sales and gross profit on a monthly basis.
- Ensure effective and clear communication within the sales team, with clients and with partners or vendors.
- Develop and execute business strategy and the annual budget.
- Analyze and apply sales statistics to plan for growth, identify new potential opportunities and market development.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to other sales colleagues across the functional areas (sales, marketing, strategy).
- Provide on-the-job training to new sales team members.
- Execute any additional tasks related to business, sales and strategy as assigned by Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of proven experience in Sales and Business Development. Background in Engineering and Technology Solution Selling is an added advantage.
- Established network within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Manufacturing, or Maritime industries is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to coach, guide, and inspire a sales team.
