SENIOR EXECUTIVE/ASSISTANT MANAGER, DATA ENRICHMENT

We are Malaysia’s leading Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) and we are aggressively expanding our business, and looking for dynamic, driven and motivated individuals to join our team. Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C), is one of our fastest growing product areas in the market, with an abundance of expansion plans and innovative ideas on hand.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is responsible to support our data acquisition and enrichment initiatives in alignment with the company’s strategic and product development roadmap. It involves deep analysis of new and existing datasets, expanding data volume from current and new sources, and ensuring the quality and integrity of all datasets. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the company’s market leadership in credit data scoring products and information depth.

The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with key data contributors to ensure timely submissions, conducting quarterly client reviews, supporting new data format integration, and overseeing efficient uploads to systems like eTR Plus and CED. It also includes monitoring dataset quality and escalating issues to reduce operational impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the key data initiatives that contribute to the overall Product & Data roadmap and strategy for the business.
• Develop, expand and improve data coverage for the business beyond conventional sources of credit data.
• Undertake a periodic benchmarking exercise to ensure data quality and coverage remains best in the market.
• Formulate strategies and propositions to encourage data contributors to participate in the company’s data programs.
• Perform relevant training for subscribers as and when required – related to data programs and data submission systems.
• Research for a new datasource to expand the existing data scope.
• Obtain Positive Data for eTR Plus records from non-FI for individuals and companies.
• Obtain CED (legal) records from FI and non-FI for individuals and companies.
• Perform system training (CED and eTR Plus) and for subscribers as and when required the usage Positive Data.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Maintain close contact with clients to ensure a continuous deposit of data.
• Conduct a quarterly review and contact with key clients.
• Work closely with the client including new format features, ensure proper and efficient uploading of data to eTR Plus and CED Data Products.
• Monitor the incoming of new data sets from customers to ensure minimal interference to daily operational processes.
• Monitor the operational flow and quality of SSM data, eTR Plus, and CED contributors, and escalates issues when necessary.

DATA ACQUISITION AND INTEGRITY

• Ensure data acquisition with various data suppliers, conduct investigations into data discrepancies and disputes from internal teams and clients.
• Ensure timeliness of response and resolution of cases from data source provided by internal teams and clients.
• Ensure the overall quality of data acquisition from data supplier so that it remains accurate, up to date, relevant and not misleading.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree qualified in at least one of the following: Data Management, Information Technology, Management Information System (MIS), Business Administration, or related fields.
• Extensive experience dealing with government agencies or government-linked corporations is preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales data product, data analysis/data acquisition/data management.
• Possess data analytical skills, preferably in credit data/financial data/utilities data/telco data.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, self‑starter, pre-sales, willing to learn and find better ways to work with data acquisition strategy to achieve desired company results and overall team KPI on revenue target.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong interpersonal, creativity and analytical skills with a meticulous and accountable approach to work.
• Able to perform work under pressure, willing to work extended hours to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a small team environment.
• A team player with a demonstrated ability to listen, problem‑solve with effective solutions.
• Knowledge of competitive intelligence for increased awareness of trends & price points.
• Computer proficiency in MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in database tools, i.e. (SQL, RDMS).
