Job summary

A leading construction firm in Selangor is seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to manage full sets of accounts. Responsibilities include reviewing supplier invoices, transaction data entry, and reconciliation tasks. Ideal candidates must possess a Degree in Accounting, with at least 5 years of accounting experience including 2 in the construction field. Proficiency in SAP is essential. The role demands reliability, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a heavy workload independently.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Review supplier invoices and manage settlements of outstanding invoices.
  • Responsible for transaction data entry into ACCPAC and SAP systems, including both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Prepare and compile information on asset purchases to be captured in asset management, then compute projected monthly depreciation provision amounts.
  • Prepare and close full set of accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for reconciling amounts payable with suppliers' statements of account and performing monthly bank balance reconciliations.
  • Issue invoices for rebilling to subcontractors and progress claims to clients.
  • Maintain and update accounts and tax schedules, and perform estimates.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax consultants on any relevant matters.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as distribution of documentation, invoices, and billing.
  • Complete any other tasks requested by a superior.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years full set of accounts knowledge with 2 years in Construction related field.
  • Must have knowledge in SAP Accounting system.
  • Responsibilities, reliable, initiative and committed.
  • Well organized and able to manage very workloads and work independently.
