Job summary

A leading finance company in Malaysia is looking for an experienced accounting professional to oversee full set accounts, management reporting, and audit readiness. With 3-5 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate will be proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel, possess a strong understanding of month-end processes, and demonstrate excellent language skills in English. Qualifications

Job Description
  1. Own full set account including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and maintaining chart of accounts integrity.
  2. Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items within Service Level Agreements and maintain a documented month‑end checklist.
  3. Review journals and ensure documentation is statutory audit‑compliant.
  4. Produce monthly management packs encompassing aspects inclusive of but not limited to the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, variance analysis and key performance indicators with concise commentary for leadership.
  5. Run the intercompany matching process, clear mismatches according to service level agreements and obtain formal confirmation.
  6. Complete monthly bank reconciliations, aligning accounts receivable and accounts payable sub‑ledgers to the general ledger and resolve any exceptions.
  7. Prepare and continuously update a 13‑week cash flow forecast, monitor headroom against covenants.
  8. Coordinate payment runs and intra‑group funding arrangements and liaise with banks for any operational matters.
  9. Coordinate the annual budget and periodic re‑forecasts with subsidiaries and track actuals against planned figures and highlight risks and/or opportunities.
  10. Prepare audit schedules, liaise with external auditors and drive on‑time sign off with no repeat findings.
  11. Support tax computations and estimates and SST returns and ensure robust supporting documentation maintenance and audit trails.
  12. Monitor transmissions success rate and rectify errors while reconciling‑invoicing output back to the general ledger/accounts receivable.
  13. Maintain a Balance Sheet substantiation pack, run General Ledger access reviews and checks.
  14. Identify and implement process/system improvements, document Standard Operating Procedures.
  15. Partner with subsidiaries, operations, procurement, IT, banks, auditors, tax agents and other external parties.
  16. Any other duties as may be reasonably required by BZIM.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accountancy (or equivalent). Professional Certification (e.g. ACCA/CPA/MIA) preferred.
  2. 3–5 years hands‑on experience owning a full set of accounts, audit/tax (incl. SST), intercompany and bank reconciliations; strong month‑/year‑end ownership.
  3. Full‑set accounting (AP/AR/GL), month‑/year‑end close; and group reporting.
  4. Management reporting & analysis (KPIs, variance analysis).
  5. Audit readiness; tax and SST; budgeting/forecasting; treasury support.
  6. ERP proficiency; advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, Power Query).
  7. Journal entry review and GL substantiation; intercompany and bank reconciliations.
  8. E‑invoicing process knowledge (flows, mapping, integration, exception handling).
  9. Language: English (strong); Mandarin/Bahasa desirable.
