A leading manufacturing company in Alor Gajah is seeking a qualified Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will oversee engineering projects, manage a maintenance team, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should possess a Master's/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and have 3-4 years experience in relevant fields. Strong leadership and operational skills are essential. This role offers a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional development.
Leading the engineering projects, managing a team of tooling and maintenance team and ensuring technical excellence in areas of productivity, quality, and project delivery.
Responsible for directing the engineering function and maintenance activities including implementing and monitoring necessary preventative maintenance, PM.
Responsible for the tooling activities including experience in NC milling machine, CNC machine, punching process to minimize production down time due to tooling issue.
Keep abreast on latest manufacturing technologies and best practices, carry out evaluation on how these technologies/ best practices can enhance efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations and implement improvements.
Evaluate, develop and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement projects. These include but not limited to kaizen, lean, 5S or any methodologies approved by management.
Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with others management personnel to enable effective communications while leading the team to meet their goals.
Improve subordinate capability and efficiency through coaching.
