Job summary

A leading oil & gas company in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned project manager with over 10 years of experience in upstream project management. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of subsea technologies and strong communication skills to operate in a multi-national environment. The role may involve travel to remote locations for operational management.

Job description

• Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in upstream oil & gas project management. Shallow/Deepwater operation experience is an advantage
• Experience in acting as Operating Company site representative is an advantage.
• Experience liaising or working with EPCIC contractor.
• Experience in Subsea IMR/Intervention work, current subsea technologies knowledge is an advantage.
• Basic Awareness of Subsea Production Systems and Interfaces.
• Experience in conducting investigation or root cause analysis for a system/equipment failure (ie. through 5 whys, RCFA, Fish bone).
• Ability to travel with little or no notice to remote locations to manage corrective maintenance and operational issues.
• Fit to work offshore.
• Strong communication skills with experience working in a multi-national environment.
• Understanding of key API RP17 Standards.
