The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience with database systems (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL), and strong skills in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. This role emphasizes communication and teamwork to enhance performance and improve processes within the organization.

Job Description
In your new role, you will:

• Provide day-to-day technical support and administrative tasks for databases, including complex troubleshooting
• Install, configure, monitor, and perform backups for new databases
• Deliver 2nd tier response, analyze issues, and plan resolutions for existing problems
• Manage incident and change management processes on a daily basis
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning on databases
• Coordinate with vendors for critical technical support
• Document system processes and procedures; continuously improve processes and documentation in collaboration with senior engineers
• Maintain, upgrade, and enhance current databases globally, ensuring proper lifecycle management
• Collaborate with application teams and data center staff on projects and support activities such as preventive maintenance
• Provide training to new team members

Your Profile
You are well-suited for this role if you have:

• A minimum of a degree qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL database administration
• Experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows server environments
• Knowledge of web technologies such as Python, Shell scripting, PHP, JavaScript, REST APIs
• Preferred: Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
