Senior Electrical Engineer
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a highly knowledgeable professional in electrical technology and processes within the manufacturing area, and acts as a mentor for colleagues. The role is accountable for maintenance KPIs of production lines and auxiliary equipment, responsible for scheduling, assigning and executing electrical maintenance tasks. The engineer ensures safety and legal compliance, drives a “Run to Standard” culture, and supports teams in Safety, Quality, CL, CILs, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance. The position also contributes to the implementation of the Maintenance Roadmap based on the Site Strategy, defining standard conditions for technicians and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Model and enforce safety practices, ensuring work complies with company safety policies and legal requirements.
- Serve as the point of expertise in developing the maintenance journey, applying a Zero Stops & Zero Breakdowns philosophy.
- Own and drive breakthrough elimination, maintain KPIs, and manage overall electrical maintenance costs for production lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Analyze and develop maintenance skills within the team, leading planning meetings for all maintenance activities.
- Define, develop and review quality standards for maintenance.
- Coach the organization on maintenance, technology and process behaviors and tools.
- Collaborate with mechanical, quality and process engineering teams, teaching effective troubleshooting procedures and improvements.
- Develop a skill and capability journey for the maintenance team, covering planning and scheduling, operator maintenance, and act as a trainer for the work area.
- Support leadership in providing direction to the electrical team and assist manufacturing units in achieving departmental goals.
- Lead electrical troubleshooting activities, supporting shift technicians and line RSTs as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance or electrical/control systems in a highly automated FMCG manufacturing environment; knowledge of disposable hygiene sector processes is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a maintenance team.
- Hands‑on experience is critical; the role requires a very hands‑on approach to electrical troubleshooting and maintenance work.
- Strong machinery troubleshooting skills, especially in electrical/electronic circuits and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC, servomotors and AC motor controllers (Siemens Step 7, Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Allen Bradley).
- Knowledge of 5S principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; English proficiency required.
- Experience leading a team of electrical maintenance supervisors/technicians.
