Job summary

A leading insurance firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Model Risk and Validation expert to oversee critical model validations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE as a qualified actuary, experience in life insurance, and strong analytical skills. You will manage a small team and interact with stakeholders across the organization. This role is pivotal for supporting effective risk management initiatives and ensuring model accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as an actuary.
• Experience in life insurance or risk management.
• Familiarity with model platforms and risks.
• Prior experience in actuarial model testing or validation.
• Experience in people management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the critical model validation process.
• Support the validation of critical models for various purposes.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management.
• Contribute to Deep Dive reviews related to critical models.
• Prepare model validation reports for governance committees.
