Job summary

A leading geotechnical firm in Malaysia is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee the contract team and manage contract administration tasks in geotechnical and foundation work. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in building technology or quantity surveying, with at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong skills in Microsoft Office and project management. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in contract administration for geotechnical/foundation work.
  • Familiarity with pricing for building projects in Sabah and Sarawak.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Contract Team.
  • Prepare and compile Tender/Contract document.
  • Perform quantity take-off and measure project data accurately.
  • Attend site valuation & meeting.
  • Prepare progress claim to clients/Main-Contractors.
  • Verify sub-contractors claims and prepare the valuation certificate.
  • Assist in contract negotiation and settlement.
  • Prepare cost variations, final accounts and other relevant reports.
  • Liaise with the Client’s Quantity Surveyor or Contract Personnel.
  • Conduct contract reviews and analysis.
  • Support in resolving contract disputes and claims.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Assist in subcontract and supplier evaluation.
  • Participate in contract closeout activities.
