Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Selangor is seeking a Cloud Consultant to assess client environments and define cloud adoption roadmaps. The role involves facilitating cloud readiness assessments, architecting solutions for various cloud workloads, and leading data migrations. Candidates should have 8–12 years in IT, with 5+ years in cloud consulting, and a proven record in enterprise-scale cloud migrations. Strong technical and consulting skills are essential, alongside deep experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Qualifications

  • Deep hands-on experience with one or more major clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale cloud migrations/modernizations.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers, and IaC.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.

Job description

Assess client environments and define cloud adoption roadmaps, target operating models, and governance frameworks.

Facilitate cloud readiness assessments, business case creation, and TCO/ROI analyses.

Architect solution designs for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS workloads including networking, identity, security, observability, and automation.

Lead application and data migrations (rehost, replatform, refactor) from on-prem or other clouds.

Implement identity and access management (IAM), key management, encryption, network segmentation, policy-as-code, and guardrails.

Establish cost governance, budgets, and alerts; optimize spend via rightsizing, reserved instances/commitments, storage tiering, and autoscaling.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Conduct executive and technical workshops, produce reference architectures, and runbooks/playbooks.

Customer/Partner Insights: Deliver feedback and insights from customers and partners to relevant Microsoft, including Product Groups, to facilitate ongoing improvement.

Proficient in Customer Success for platforms focused on productivity and transforming business processes. Possesses strong technical skills and a commitment to collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders.

Executive Engagement: Expertise in cultivating and sustaining relationships with executive stakeholders and driving value proposition dialogues that align with customer goals and outcomes. Capable of analyzing and understanding customers' industry and business priorities.

Business Process Analysis:

Illustrate customer business workflows and ready them for performance analysis and enhancement.

Articulate, demo, and present complex customer concepts to varying audiences, such as BDMs (Business Decision Makers) & ITDMs (Information Technology Decision Makers).

Territory & Pipeline Manage:

Experienced in territory management, opportunity qualification, stakeholder communication, and partner engagement, including opportunity and pipeline mgmt. Experience in ensuring customers realize value by consuming technology and services investments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8–12 years in IT with at least 5+ years in cloud consulting/architecture roles
  • Deep hands‑on experience with one or more major clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Proventrack recorddelivering enterprise-scale cloud migrations/modernizations
