Job description

We are a professional C&S Engineering consultancy firm delivering design, planning and structural consultancy services for a variety of projects.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to lead and manage our civil and structural engineering projects from design through to completion. The successful candidate will manage projects from feasibility/concept stage through to detailed design and submission, coordinate with clients and other consultants and ensure all structural works meet professional engineering standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead consultancy projects (buildings, infrastructure, industrial facilities, etc.) from preliminary design / feasibility study through to detailed design and construction-support phases.
  • Perform structural and civil analysis and design (reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, foundation, soil-supported/ pile/ground works if applicable).
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, design calculations, technical specifications, tender / contract documents, and other design/ documentation deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, other discipline consultants (e.g. M&E, geotechnical), contractors, and regulatory authorities — including submitting drawings for approval, responding to queries, and participating in consultations or meetings.
  • Conduct design review, quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) on structural design deliverables and ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost estimation (when required), and preparation of consultancy proposals / tender submissions.
  • Perform or coordinate site visits / inspections (when required) to monitor construction progress, verify compliance with design intent, respond to technical issues on site, and liaise with contractors/authorities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline from recognized institution.
  • Proven experience (8–10 years or more) in civil & structural consultancy environment , design and consultancy of building / infrastructure / industrial / specialized projects.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g. STAAD.Pro or other relevant tools), CAD software, and ability to prepare and interpret structural drawings, specifications, calculation reports.
  • Good knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage multiple tasks/projects, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills — capable of liaising with clients, authorities, consultants and contractors.
  • Attention to detail, quality assurance mindset, and problem-solving capability to ensure compliant, safe, and optimum design solutions.
