ABOUT THE POSITION
Art Creation
  • Create expert-level, high-fidelity character art that pushes the boundaries of visual quality in real-time games.
  • Ensure art content meets the highest artistic and technical standards, while adhering to engine and platform constraints.
  • Drive visual excellence by exploring new methods, workflows, and solutions in character modeling, texturing, and look-development.
  • Work closely with the Art Director, Character Lead and other team members to ensure characters meet both visual, gameplay, and technical expectations.
  • Support the team and help mentor the more junior members of it.
  • Collaborate with adjacent departments (Animation, Rigging, Tech Art) to ensure assets are production‑ready and technically sound.
  • Help set the benchmark for the project's artistic goals and helps align all character work with the overall tone and quality bar.
  • Be a role model of artistic excellence, professionalism, and collaboration within the team.
  • Actively mentor other character artists, helping elevate individual and team growth while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Work closely with your lead to troubleshoot and resolve character‑related issues throughout production.
  • Support the continuous development and improvement of the character pipeline, documentation, and workflows.
  • Stay on top of emerging tools, technologies, and trends in character art, scanning pipelines, shaders, and real‑time rendering.
  • 5+ years of experience in real‑time character art production for games, with a proven track record of shipping high‑quality titles.
  • Expert understanding of human and creature anatomy, silhouette, proportion, and form.
  • Proficient in character sculpting, modeling, texturing, and lookdev using tools like ZBrush, Maya, Blender, Marvelous Designer, and Substance Painter.
  • Comfortable working across both stylized and realistic visual styles.
  • Strong grasp of PBR workflows and real‑time rendering constraints.
  • Skilled in both organic and hardsurface modeling.
  • Confident collaborating across disciplines (Rigging, Animation, Tech Art, Design) to build technically sound and visually striking assets.
  • Clear and effective communication skills—both verbal and written—with experience giving and receiving feedback across levels.
  • Forward‑thinking and proactive in identifying visual or pipeline risks and proposing scalable solutions.
  • Passionate about games and committed to delivering world‑class character experiences.
