Senior Buyer / Buyer/ Procurement / Purchasing

We are seeking a talented Senior Buyer / Buyer/ Procurement / Purchasing professional to join the team at Amphenol DC Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This full-time role is based in Simpang Ampat Penang and will play a crucial part in the company's manufacturing, transport and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

Negotiate contracts and purchase orders with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms

Manage and maintain productive relationships with existing suppliers

Identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities and negotiate favourable terms

Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure continuous supply of materials and components

Work with supplier for re-scheduling programs including expedite, de-expedite and cancellations to ensuring no past due PO

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and source the appropriate goods and services

Analyse purchasing data and generate reports to support strategic decision making

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar purchasing, procurement or buying role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry

Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimise procurement processes

Keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis

Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
