Mabcon Energy Sdn Bhd – Puchong New Village

Drive business growth in the renewable energy sector by originating, developing, and closing opportunities in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects, Large Scale Solar (LSS) developments, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and other renewable ventures (biogas, biomass, IPP). The role requires strong lead generation, stakeholder engagement, and pipeline management to support Mabcon’s expansion strategy into integrated energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities in C&I solar (corporate rooftops, factories, malls, warehouses).

Build and maintain a pipeline of LSS opportunities with visibility to TNB, ST, and SEDA.

Originate BESS projects (standalone or hybrid with solar) by engaging utilities, regulators, and investors.

Develop renewable energy ventures (biogas, biomass, IPP) through investor and partner engagement.

Establish and maintain a qualified pipeline of opportunities across C&I, LSS, BESS, and RE sectors.

Prepare and submit tenders/proposals ensuring technical, financial, and compliance standards.

Develop stakeholder maps (government, regulators, utilities, financiers, investors).

Stakeholder Engagement

Initiate and manage JV/partnership discussions with investors, financiers, and technology partners.

Represent the company in negotiations with clients, government agencies, and regulators.

Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders to support project origination.

Reporting & Compliance

Provide monthly BD reports (pipeline, progress, risks, competitor updates).

Conduct quarterly review presentations to Director / Senior Management.

Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in renewable energy, EPC, or energy storage.

Proven track record in lead generation, tender preparation, and contract negotiation.

Strong stakeholder management skills (government, utilities, financiers, investors).

Knowledge of energy storage systems (BESS) and their role in grid stability and renewable integration.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, proposal development tools, and CRM systems.

Fast-track promotion to Manager / Senior Manager of Business Development within 18–24 months based on performance.

Incentive scheme tied to EPC contract origination, pipeline development, and asset ownership/BESS projects.

Exposure to strategic negotiations with clients, regulators, and investors.
