Job summary

A prominent distribution company is seeking a qualified candidate for a key account management role in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage and strengthen relationships with distribution partners, ensuring alignment in business operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 1-2 years of relevant experience in the FMCG industry, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Travel is expected for this role.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in distributor or key account management, preferably in FMCG.
  • Familiarity with Distributor Management Systems is an advantage.
  • Possess a valid driving license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

Job Descriptions
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distribution partners to ensure business alignment.

  • Act as the primary contact for distributor operations, resolving issues and ensuring smooth collaboration.

  • Coordinate with Logistics, Finance, and internal teams to ensure OTIF delivery and timely payment collection.

  • Perform regular checks on portfolio transitions, pricing accuracy, and system setup.

  • Support sales forecasting, inventory planning, and distributor sell-out performance reviews.

  • Assist in developing growth strategies, new product rollouts, and annual sales targets.

  • Monitor distributor compliance with regulatory, quality, and company standards.

  • Analyze distribution performance and provide insights to support continuous improvement.

Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

  • 1–2 years of experience in distributor or key account management, preferably within the FMCG industry.

  • Familiarity with Distributor Management Systems (DMS) is an advantage.

  • Strong command of English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

  • Analytical and logical thinker with strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Possess a valid driving license, own transportation, and be willing to travel.
