A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support financial reporting and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in General Accounting or Controlling. Strong proficiency in English and competency in tools like SAP and PowerBI are essential. This position focuses on financial analysis, issue resolution, and ensuring corporate governance standards are met, providing a dynamic opportunity for growth and professional development.
Led the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
Maintained a strong financial control framework across the region, with a focus on FCF governance.
Ensured the balance sheet remained healthy and well-managed as a key financial priority.
Acted as a business partner to Marketing and Global Finance Services (GFS), supporting informed decision‑making.
Supported working capital optimization and cash generation initiatives.
Managed transfer pricing activities by providing accurate data for new TP setups and annual revisions.
Coordinated statutory reporting with external partners to ensure timely and accurate submissions to local authorities.
Proactively identified and resolved complex issues by collaborating cross‑functionally to address root causes and implement effective solutions.
Built and maintained strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
Supervised Business Controllers to ensure high‑quality shared service delivery.
Supported people development as Assistant Manager by coaching Business Controllers, identifying development needs, succession planning, and driving employee engagement.
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting or equivalent, with a minimum 8 years of General Accounting / Controlling experience.
English proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non‑financial management.
Experience of change management and building engagement.
Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams.
Experience in SAP.
Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis to all ad hoc queries in line with SLA.
Ensure corporate governance standards are met, taking accountability for effective operation of relevant financial reporting controls.
Continuously identify opportunities for standardization and simplification within the process area, fostering efficiency and streamlined operations.
Utilize financial data interpretation skills to provide timely and accurate variance analysis and insightful commentary for statutory reporting.
Experience of designing, developing & delivery of data‑driven analytics solutions using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Microstrategy, Power Automate is a plus.
