Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is often required or preferred.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases is essential.
• Expertise with one or more BI reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or Cognos.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R can be a plus.
• Knowledge of investment applications like Yardi, Investran, Mantra, Geneva would be an advantage.

Job Description

The Senior Associate, IT, BI / Report Developer will work closely with Business, Operations, Product Management team and Project Manager to define best technical solution and development process, including but not limited to:

• Design and development: Create reports, dashboards, and other data visualisations based on business requirements using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
• Requirements gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and managers, to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Project planning: Assist the projects in planning, development and test phases. Create detailed, comprehensive and well‑structured project plans, change tickets, release notes and test cases for background processes.
• Data querying and modelling: Write complex SQL queries and use data modelling techniques to extract and prepare data from various sources.
• Data integrity and validation: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data within reports by performing quality checks and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Performance optimisation: Tune the performance of reports and queries to ensure efficient delivery of data, even with large datasets.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including report specifications, data sources, and methodologies.
• Maintenance and support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing reports and provide ongoing maintenance and updates as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is often required or preferred.
• Technical expertise:
  • SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases is essential.
  • BI tools: Expertise with one or more BI reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or Cognos.
  • Data warehousing: Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modelling.
  • Programming: Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R can be a plus, particularly for more advanced data analysis tasks.
  • Investment applications: Knowledge of Yardi, Investran, Mantra, Geneva would be an advantage.
• Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to gather requirements and present complex information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Adaptability: The capacity to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing business needs.
