Qualifications & experience
- Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or relevant Professional Accounting Qualifications.
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in accounting with at least 2-3 years in accounting firms.
- Working experience in a CPA firm or fund management companies would be an added advantage.
- Ability to handle full sets of accounts.
- Positive attitude, hardworking and able to work independently.
- Experience in using Xero and MYOB will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with proven expertise in financial planning and analysis are preferred.
- Maturity, integrity, and a high level of discretion, with the ability to interact confidently with client and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, capable of conducting in-depth research and data analysis to resolve complex issues.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Handle a portfolio of accounting clients, reporting directly to Account Managers.
- Handle client’s month-end close processes, including data entry and reconciliation of accounting transaction, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions to ensure accuracy of accounting information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Hands on involvement on day-to-day’s client finance operations, work-flows and processes.
- Handle various accounting systems and applications (Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax etc) and provide feedback for system improvements.
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place.
- Collaborate closely with the client and Manager in-charge on budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts, making recommendations based on data analysis, trend identification, and variance supervision.
- Preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and provide insights on the financial performance of the company and the group, presenting findings to clients.
- Ensure compliance with GST tax regulations and others.
- Provide service support and coordinate annual statutory audits with external auditors.
- Undertake special assignments and ad-hoc functions as needed, contributing to ongoing process improvements and efficiency.
