Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for the company’s entities across different regions. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple financial reporting tasks, liaising with auditors, and supporting system enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be adept at working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Job Functions

FullSetsofAccountsManagement: Handle end-to-end accounting processes, including monthly closing, reconciliations, reporting, and statutory compliance.

Month-EndClosing: Responsible for the month-end closing process for assigned entities, including the preparation of monthly journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

AuditCoordination: Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

BalanceSheetReconciliations: Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

EntityConsolidation: Perform consolidation across parent–child and multi-subsidiary structures, with strong proficiency in manual consolidation as the company transitions to an automation platform.

Ad-HocResponsibilities: Handle various ad-hoc matters as needed, providing support to the finance team and other departments.

Duties

Execute month-end closing activities, including the preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Prepare accurate and compliant financial statements for audit purposes and other reporting requirements.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes and controls.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes.

Assist in special projects, such as system upgrades, policy changes, and other initiatives.

Maintain compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-national or with Big 4 audit firms.

Strong understanding of accounting standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous priorities from time to time and meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
