Job description
The role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, able to manage multiple tasks, willing to learn and take pride in their work. The individual should have experience in AR, AP, month‑end reporting, handle audit queries and ensure timely reporting for government requirements. Salary is negotiable. Good benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly closing of accounts.
  • Handle full set of accounts including day to day operations matters.
  • Handling client billing and contract management.
  • Prepare financial statements, notes to accounts, cash flow projections, fixed assets register, SST submission and relevant reports for management and statutory / external reporting purposes or tax filing for submission.
  • Prepare reconciliation of AP, AR and inter‑company transaction.
  • Perform monthly payroll process including submission of EPF, SOSCO, PCB and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on statutory filings.
  • Manage tender deposits and fees.
  • Manage forecasting and budgeting.
  • Liaise with Business Units, External Auditor, Internal Auditors, tax Agents, bankers where required.
  • Prepare and co‑ordinate ad‑hoc management reports and report analysis.
  • Responsible for timely submission and payment of statutory requirements.
  • Review work performed by Account Executives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of business experience.
  • Good command over financial systems and processes.
  • Familiar with SQL Accounting and Payroll software.
  • Conscientious, analytical and strong attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations.
  • Good command in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Fluent in English, Malay languages. Mandarin speaking will be a plus.
  • Experience in construction industry or professional firms is a plus.
