Job summary

A leading aviation company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of its operations. The role involves active surveillance, responding to incidents, and performing various security-related tasks. Candidates should possess SPM/SPMV qualifications with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in Aviation Security is advantageous but not mandatory. Working independently and on shifts is essential.

Qualifications

  • SPM/SPMV credit in Bahasa Melayu and English, passed Math.
  • Fresh graduates or those without experience encouraged, experience in security preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and property.
  • Conduct security surveillance and escalate incidents.
  • Respond to all security incidents in a timely manner.

Job Title

Security Officer, KUL Operations

Reports To

Security Senior Officer, KUL Operations

Role Purpose

Maintain high visibility presence to provide a safe and secure environment and implement security measures to deter any act of unlawful interference.

Key Accountability
  • Protect company's core asset, property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Uphold security discipline and punctuality. (i.e. Adapting to T@Ts, Thumbprint and/or similar tracking mechanism system introduced by management).
  • Conduct security surveillance and inspection for signs of irregularity and escalating the incidents when necessary.
  • Operates the security communication equipment, vehicles, security systems, alarm monitoring system, and screening machine where applicable (subject to AELB approval).
  • Responding appropriately and in a timely manner to all security incidents of interest and activities through proper reporting.
  • To lodge a police report of any act of unlawful Interference/ Security breach/ Criminal act along duty period.
  • Carry out any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Security Team Leader and/or by the department.
Qualifications & Working Experience
  • SPM/SPMV, credit in Bahasa Melayu and English, and passed Math SPM/SPMV.
  • Fresh school leaver / Fresh graduate / experience / without experience are encouraged to apply. Prior of experience in Aviation Security or any related security field will be an added advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Has any experience in Aviation Security is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self motivated and able to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in oral and written in Bahasa Malaysia also English (Basic) - additional other languages is an advantage.
  • Decisive and receptive.
Key Challenges

Able to work independently with minimal supervisions and able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
