Sea and Air-Freight Manager (Glenmarie, Shah Alam)

City-Link Express and Logistics – Petaling

This is a full-time position working at the City-Link Express (M) Sdn Bhd office in Glenmarie, Selangor. As a Sea and Air-Freight Manager, you will play a crucial role in the company's import/export and customs operations, ensuring the seamless movement of goods globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the sea and air freight business portfolio, delivering sustainable revenue, gross profit, and volume growth through new account acquisition and strategic account expansion.
• Responsible for sea and air freight quotations, including airline and sea reight rate negotiations, space commitments, fuel surcharges, margin control, and credit exposure.
• Demonstrate strong operational knowledge on air and sea freight, including IATA regulations, cargo handling, AWB documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance, and security procedures.
• Build strategic relationships with airlines, overseas agents, and global partners to secure competitive capacity, priority uplift, and differentiated service offerings.
• Provide sales forecasting, performance reporting, market intelligence, and commercial insights to management to support decision-making and business growth.
• To ensure timely response from client queries and RFQ’s;
• To drive and achieve department goal in accordance with company directions;>
• Manage account receivables at all time & follow up on AR issues with clients;
• Any other task that may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant working experience in the service industry, preferably in Logistics or CourierServices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin or other Chinese dialects is an advantage.
• Proactive, results‑driven, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel within the Klang Valley and nearby regions.
